2022/9/26 16:59:54

This week, the price of Australian wool market has dropped for four consecutive weeks. Unlike previous weeks' auctions, the price drop is mainly concentrated in Merino fine models, and all Merino models are weak this week. Since the opening, the market has dropped significantly, and the auction continues to decline. At the close, the MPG guide price of Merino wool fell by 7-90 Australian cents. Only Melbourne's 20 micron price remained firm. Edge wool, hybrid model and zero wool index also fell, so this week AWEX Eastern Market Index (EMI) fell by 27 Australian cents to close at 1279 Australian cents/kg. The last one-day rise of EMI index was on August 16th, and the last one-week rise was on June 22nd. At present, the EMI index is the lowest since March 2021. Due to less demand, buyers' confidence in hybrid models is also weak, and the price also drops by 25-55 Australian cents. This week's decline in hybrid models is the biggest. In the south, the price of 26 microns fell by 56 cents (-8.0%), 26 cents (-6.9%) for 28 microns and 31 cents (-9.5%) for 30 microns. The performance of zero-order wool is strong, and the wool index of coarse spinning in the three places is basically unchanged. Due to the price drop, the seller withdrew from the market, and the supply will decrease next week. Currently, it is estimated that 31,994 packages will be sold.
